Clodagh Cruddas
Six women.
Six different stories
One shared journey back to themselves
When these women joined UNHIDDEN, they weren't looking for a new wardrobe. They were looking for confidence. Each arrived with a different story, different challenges and different reasons for saying yes.
What united them wasn't their age, body shape or style.
It was the decision to stop hiding and start becoming the woman they knew they could be.
These are their journeys
"I found myself again."
Becoming a mum again later in life was everything Susan had hoped for, but somewhere between raising children and putting everyone else first, she lost herself. Her confidence faded, she stopped recognising the woman in the mirror and knew that, if she wanted to return to the workforce, she first had to rebuild her belief in herself.
Susan joined UNHIDDEN expecting to learn about style, but discovered something far more valuable.
Through The Mirror Practice, accountability and personal style, she slowly reconnected with herself.
By the end of the six weeks, Susan wasn't just ready to refresh her wardrobe—she was ready to step confidently into the next chapter of her life.
When asked how she felt at the end of the programme, Susan smiled and said:
"I feel really positive... about everything."
"I feel alive again."
For years, Sarah's life revolved around looking after everyone else. Between the demands of everyday life, she never gave herself permission to think about how she looked or how she felt. She simply kept going.
Joining UNHIDDEN was the first time in years that Sarah chose to invest in herself.
As her confidence grew, so did the pride she took in how she presented herself. She discovered that style wasn't about vanity—it was about self-worth.
By the end of the programme, Sarah wasn't just dressing differently—she was showing up differently. She had rediscovered a part of herself that had been quietly waiting to return.
When asked how she felt at the end of the programme, Sarah smiled and said:
"I feel alive"
"I gave myself permission to feel glamorous."
When Jackie retired, she imagined a new chapter filled with freedom and time for herself. Instead, life took a different direction as she became a full-time carer for her mum.
Putting everyone else first, she gradually stopped making herself a priority. She'd never believed she looked good and couldn't imagine describing herself as glamorous.
Through UNHIDDEN, Jackie discovered that confidence doesn't come from waiting to feel different—it comes from choosing to see yourself differently. Week by week, she rebuilt her confidence, embraced her personal style and, for the first time, gave herself permission to feel glamorous.
By the end of the programme, Jackie wasn't just dressing differently—she was living differently. She had rediscovered the woman she'd quietly put aside while caring for everyone else.
When asked how she felt at the end of the programme, Jackie smiled and said:
"I feel glamorous."
"I don't mind looking at myself in the mirror anymore."
Clodagh spent much of her younger life overweight and, even after losing a significant amount of weight, the way she saw herself never really changed. As her confidence grew, she discovered a love of fashion and joined UNHIDDEN hoping to learn how to dress with more confidence and style.
What she didn't expect was that it would completely change the way she saw herself.
Through The Mirror Practice, the support of the group and learning what truly suited her, Clodagh gradually replaced self-criticism with self-kindness. Today, she no longer avoids her reflection. Instead, she sees the woman she's worked so hard to become.
By the end of the programme, Clodagh hadn't just transformed her style—she had transformed the way she saw herself.
When asked how she felt at the end of the programme, Clodagh smiled and said:
"Transformed."
"I finally feel confident in my new body."
After losing an incredible nine stone, Eimear thought getting dressed would become easy. Instead, she found herself more confused than ever. She no longer knew what suited her, shopping became overwhelming and she began avoiding it altogether. Although she'd transformed physically, her confidence hadn't quite caught up.
Through UNHIDDEN, Eimear learned how to dress for the woman she is today while rebuilding the confidence that had been left behind.
The combination of The Mirror Practice and learning how to dress her new shape completely changed her relationship with style. Today, shopping is no longer something she avoids—it's something she genuinely enjoys.
By the end of the programme, Eimear wasn't just confident in her wardrobe. She was confident in herself.
When asked how she felt at the end of the programme, Eimear smiled and said:
"Confident."
"I came for the colours. I left with so much more."
Erin joined UNHIDDEN with a clear goal. As she navigated perimenopause, she wanted to discover the colours that suited her and learn how to dress in a way that felt modern, stylish and true to herself. She wanted to embrace this new chapter of life without losing her sense of style.
What she didn't expect was everything else she would gain along the way.
Alongside discovering the colours that suited her best, Erin became part of a supportive community of women who encouraged, inspired and lifted one another throughout the programme. She left with a clearer sense of personal style, lasting friendships and a renewed excitement for the future.
By the end of the programme, Erin realised she'd gained far more than a colour palette. She had embraced a new chapter of life feeling more confident, more connected and surrounded by a community of women who continue to support one another long after the programme ended.
When asked how she felt at the end of the programme, Erin smiled and said:
"I have two..."
"I'm back."
